The Forbes Arts Society is a not-for-profit incorporated association and a registered charity. FAS operates as a membership model, governed by a volunteer board that oversees all elements of the charity's work as guided by a set of corporate documents.

Annual Reporting
As a registered not-for-profit, Forbes Arts Society is required to report annually to the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC).
Annual reporting helps to maintain, protect and enhance public trust and confidence in the not-for-profit sector through increased accountability and transparency
