About the role
The Forbes Arts Society (FAS) is seeking an Administration Project Support Specialist to assist in the delivery of a number of exciting creative and cultural infrastructure projects.
This role will see you interact with members of the organisation, community members, representatives from all levels of government, as well as industry, business and individual stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to;
General FAS administration, including develop and maintain general and project related databases and reports; coordinate meetings; event support and stakeholder engagement
Grant funding administration including reporting and acquittals
Communications and marketing including social media management, develop e-newsletters, media releases and website management
Attendance at various meetings as appropriate
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in business/administration, or communications/marketing.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated project management and administrative expertise, with the ability to show initiative and prioritise tasks to meet strict deadlines.
Strong attention to detail with regards to communication, negotiation and facilitation including an ability to exercise judgement and diplomacy in politically sensitive situations.
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, including strong written communication skills.
Familiarity with marketing principles, social media and promotional materials.
Experience in website maintenance and design software for both print and digital format.
This role is offered on a temporary, part-time basis - three (3) days per week for an initial eight (8) month period. Potential for ongoing employment thereafter. Flexible working arrangements, with the option to work from home and determine working days. Salary of $75k - $80k + superannuation pro rata, based on skills and experience.
About the Forbes Arts Society
From humble beginnings exhibiting at the local craft shop. In 2009, a small group of passionate artists decided to establish a dedicated society to foster and celebrate the arts.
The Forbes Arts Society (FAS) became an incorporated association in 2011 and has since grown to now comprise of over 100 members from all across New South Wales.
For over a decade, FAS has been providing an important cultural service to the Forbes Shire community and continues to be a catalyst for enriching the cultural dimension of the wider region.
FAS is now at an exciting moment of evolution as they embark on a number of creative and cultural infrastructure projects, including the construction of a new art gallery and the expansion of the Sculpture Down the Lachlan trail.
